Grant Information

 

Overview

 

Safe Place awards grants to organizations that provide direct service to trafficking survivors in their home country. Romania is our current geographical focus.

 

We fund organizations that:

  • demonstrate a successful history of working with trafficking survivors and can share best practices with others in the field

  •  deliver high quality services that address the varied needs of the survivors including physical shelter, psychological care, social support, life skills development and the coordination of education or vocational training opportunities

  • demonstrate a clear understanding of the complex factors surrounding trafficking in their region

  • work collaboratively with other agencies and organizations to strengthen the local anti-trafficking network

 

Funding Priorities

 

  • general operating expenses for shelters offering comprehensive services

  • educational, training or other vocational projects that provide viable economic alternatives for survivors
